Fiona King and her intrepid team are riding from FIndhorn beach for 2 weeks to the Knoydart peniusula. The trip is starting on Sun 3rd July and finishing 16th July at The Old Forge Inn, Knoydart (Britains most remote pub). There will be 3 ridden horses and a packpony as well as a support team. We wish them all well and thank you for supporting HorseBack UK
Help for Heroes have continued to show their support by issuing further funding for HorseBack UK. We could not have done this without their help and thus all the help from the public supporting them. Some members of the Help for Heroes team will be attending HorseBack UK for a couple of days in July and we look forward to showing them the facilities we have as well as them meeting some of the folk that their funding has enabled us to help.
The Sunday Express recently ran a 2 page article on HorseBack UK. You can have look here
Our seven new horses will be here tomorrow!! Sourced from around the country by Alan and Sally Payne of Payne Performance Horses they will be loading onto the truck early tommorrow morning in Leicestershire to arrive here before dark. The horses are all either pure or part quarter horse and all well trained and responsive.
We are delighted to report that Poppy Scotland will be funding the purchase of our new horses and related equipment. The grant of £40,000 is the largest this year to a single organisation.
After all the wind, rain and mud we finally have our fantastic new training area within the walled garden. This will provide us with a safe area to do both ground work and ridden work. Thanks RG Plant for the work and thanks to Help for Heroes and the Mericos Foundation for providing funding.
Horse and Rider, the UK's best-selling equestrian magazine have done a nice four page spread feature on our work here at HorseBackUK.
