About Us

HorseBack UK started from an idea by Jock and Emma Hutchison. Originally the plan was to set up a commercial enterprise providing clients with access to the beautiful surroundings of Royal Deeside on well trained quality American Quarter Horses using the western style of riding.

Following a Christmas with friends, many of whom were ex military it was recognised that there was a definite need to help soldiers on return from active service or those who had already left and hence HorseBack the charity was formed.

This process proved to be quite a lengthy one with research and subsequently evidence required to substantiate equine therapy and the value of a rural and natural environment.

As HorseBack UK has developed support from the local area has been fantastic. As well as fundraising being organised by local organisations we now have numerous volunteers, some ex military themselves who give up their time on a regular basis and are now an integral part of the HorseBack Team.
